For myself, I enjoy using the 14000 for plugging whereas I used to use the 18000. It has just a tad bit more capacity than the 10000 spool and is a lot lighter than the 18000. So far I am using the 14000 and 4000 SWB. I still have the SW 18000, 8000, and 4000XG.If spooled up loosely Braid will dig into itself on the reel spool when line is peeled off from a fish, binding up and possible lost fishy.
